Hello everyone!
I made it!
Am weak. But things going well so far.

Chest tubes out this morning (an interesting experience!). All seems to be going well. Doctors very pleased with my progress.

Only just got my hands on my phone.

One day in Overnight Intensive Recovery unit (OIR).
Then High Dependency Unit. I’ve now just walked (very tentatively!) to the main ward overlooking Houses of Parliament and the River Thames.

Will do a proper write-up as soon as possible and soon as I can adjust my brain and body.
The very best to all!

So cool. Your post brought back memories. Life is a journey. Welcome to the zipper club. Why don't you hobble over to Parliament and sort that **** out?

Walk as much as you can around the ward. Get one of those watches that count steps (that's what I did).

It's great to know that you're back. My view out the window was some dingy streets and an Astroburger hamburger joint (I think). Perhaps there was NO view.

I look forward to seeing more good news from you.

And, yes, it should get easier all the time...
