as I see it the problems are separate:
  1. a dialated root (and need for surgery)
  2. a stroke history (perhaps related to the root)
a stroke history doesn't necessitate a surgery.

depending on other data the dilated root does. difference in imaging is not atypical, so relying on those numbers is a bit vexed.

next, how did you get the transcripts of these conversations (meaning are they 100% word accurate)

Dr Harris: Yeah. And even if they... if she used the number 5.2, that is a number that we got by echo, which is not reliable, which is why we did the CT and the MRI, because they are reliable, and they have not changed.

I would agree with the above, what are those numbers from CT and MRI (sorry, there was a lot to read through above)

Dr Harris: The other thing is the echo diameters of your ventricle. So, if they've increased then that triggers the surgery based on your regurgitation.

I'd be more interested in regurgitation and velocities from echo, but yes.

I'm not sure of where the conflict lays at this point, but is Dr Harris saying you need surgery?

Are you not wanting to have the surgery?
