I'd like to extend my best wishes for successful mitral and aortic surgery on Thursday. You obviously have a great support system in place, so I am hopeful that you will have a successful surgery and an uncomplicated recovery.

I hope your daughter, Katie1234, will post an update as soon as she is able.

Thank you to everyone for your prayers, support and kind words. They really mean so much, especially in the "countdown". I cannot wait to get this behind me and start my new "lease on life". Waiting for the operation is certainly wearing me down but we are all ready. Can't wait to talk to all of you during my recovery.Thanks again for all of your kindness.
