just wanted to share some good news

I just got an appoinment with the valve specialists at the Mayo Clinic in minn. they were going to see me next week but I wasnt prepared to go so soon. My appointment is May 10th and we found a package deal that includes 2 round trip tickets and 7 nights in the Rochester days inn the cost is alot,but well worth it$1079.83. Iam asking that you all will keep me in prayer finally Im going to go to a hospitial that wont give in until iam feeling better.
I wanted to share this with all of you because you all have seen that it has been a long and hard road,but hopefully soon things will be getting better. I would also like to thank harpoon? for giving me the courage and information about your sickness. I also wanted to know how many of you have gone to the mayo clinic and had your surgery and which drs.

I'm so relieved for you. Who finally pushed the right button so you could be in a place to get the care you need? Who will be there with you?

Have you been stable with your heart problems? I remember you said that the lung doctor wanted your heart better before he could fix you and the heart doctor wanted your lungs better to do the same.

Hi Nicole,

I am new to the site. I have been reading postings for a while now.

I was glad to hear that you have an appointment with the Mayo Clinic. In 1985 I had an ASD/VSD repair done, along with a mitral valve repair. My cardiologist sent me there as a "last resort". When I got there, they were like, "no problem, we can fix this". I was very pleased with my results. I do not remember the name of my surgeon, unfortunately.

In 2002, I needed to have a mitral valve replacement done. I considered going back to Mayo, but wanted to stay in Minneapolis to make it easier for my family. My cardiologist then recommended Dr King, who had been at Mayo for 10 years.

I wish you the best as you go there. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
