Just made this up for Joe, who is salt free right now.
Steak Sauce (Hot)
1 small can tomato paste
2 small cans water
1/3 Cup Karo syrup
1/3 stick butter
1 Jalapena pepper chopped with seeds
1/2 onion chopped
grated rind of 1/2 orange
1 Tab. Kitchen Bouquet
1 and 1/2 teas. celery flakes
1 teas. garlic powder
2 Tab. wine vinegar
1 teas. dry mustard
2 Tab. sugar or to taste
Cook for about 10 minutes at medium heat, adding water if needed. Then blend up with a stick blender.
Don't even miss the salt (well, almost)
