So as well as endo risks, it looks bad for Alzheimers

If you bled when you brushed your teeth this morning, you might want to get that seen to. We may finally have found the long-elusive cause of Alzheimer’s disease: Porphyromonas gingivalis, the key bacteria in chronic gum disease.

That’s bad, as gum disease affects around a third of all people. But the good news is that a drug that blocks the main toxins of P. gingivalis is entering major clinical trials this year, and research published today shows it might stop and even reverse Alzheimer’s.

I read that article and I am trying to increase my oral hygiene, but my sonicare just died.

I don't know where you live, but you should just be able to buy one on (say) eBay using your phone and get it delivered (while you're waiting for stuff with your mum).

I'd also add in flossing too ... flossing is very important. Just make sure you are flossing correctly and between all your teeth (don't just aim to clean the the gap, but make sure you move the floss along both sides of the tooth.)

Best Wishes
