Hi! I just learned that I need an endometrial biopsy. I am checking with my doctor, but wondering if anyone has this procedure while on warfarin. If so, did you need to stop warfarin, and did you take antibiotics? I assume the answer to both questions is no. Thanks.

I don't know anything specific being a guy :) but good luck. A colorectal doctor told me that for a colonoscopy, if they take samples or remove polyps, I would need to reduce my INR. My dermatologist takes skin biopsies and removes basal cell carcinomas w/o any change in my INR. However, with a St. Jude like you, I've been told that lowering my INR is low risk. I did it for surgery once w/o bridging.

Thank you! My cardiologist and obgyn spoke today. They agreed I could stay on Coumadin but get off of aspirin 5 days prior to procedure.
