Had my AVR yesterday morning at 0730. I was in the OR for about 3.5 hours total. Doctor told my wife everttthing went well. I’ve been in ICU since post-op but I’m.doing okay. No pain at all to speak of. Actually only my lungs are bothering me. No narc pump here so the nurse gave me a 5mg Oxy at around 5pm last night so I could start lung exercises and be able to sleep. So that was 13 hrs ago and I haven’t taken anything since. She says I’ll be able to do the clear diet for breakfast since I’m hungry as hell. Nothing else to note that I can thing. Now the road to recovery!
