This was a great thing to follow throughout. Congrats on your recovery and you made having a mechanical valve seem not as intimidating as many think it is!
Thanks! I'm super happy about my mechanical valve. Others' posts on this site have done a lot to ally *my* anxiety, so I'm glad I could pass that along!

I had another brief episode of AFib in February, and my cardiologist bumped me up to a 2.0 - 3.0 target for my INR. Other than that, feeling great! My cardiologist says these AFib episodes tend to get longer and more frequent as time goes on, and if that happens to me, I’ll get referred to an electrophysiologist. No restrictions on activity, except some extreme sports that I’m not interested in, which is a huge relief to me, because I love my daily exercise. My latest favorite workout is Bollywood dance class.
