I am only 4' 10". I have shrunk some with age. The weight charts wants me at 115-120. I just want to be at 125 and I will be happy. I am down another pound this week. I have eaten pretty healthy all week. Tonight we are taking granddaughter and some of her friends out to dinner for her 14th birthday and tomorrow hubby is taking me to the casino in Alabama. That means eating out probably 3 times this weekend. I will try to make good food choices but I do love my food and a drink or two. Good luck to everyone
on sticking to your diet and exercis plan whatever it may be.

Starting Weight-145
This Week-135
This Week Loss-1
Total Loss-10

Great job Sue .... enjoy your dinner out and weekend .... one thing I know is that we can't deny ourselves all of the time, if we do we set ourselves up for failure and usually a huge ongoing binge .... oh, I think those weight charts are crap:)

Superbob has paid the price with a 4-pound gain. :( Maybe it was good that his falling apart coincided with the week of his doctor's visit so he could get his steel butt royally kicked.

Weight objective for 2009: lose 20 pounds.

Change in past week: gained 4 pounds

Net change since Jan. 1, 2009: lost 2 pounds.

Another pound off, Sue! Way to go!:)

SuperBob, you will prevail! :)

I lost just a tee tiny bit, maybe a half of a pound, but I think I will call it a "stay the same" week. I would have lost more, but let several stupid snack stunts ;)throw me off track. It's a good thing that today's a new day and a new start.;):)

Hi Guys.....

Evelyn checking in .....down 1.4 at ww yesterday. A total of 8.4 since I rejoined the end of January. At least it's a start. Walking the 2 miles 4 days a week really helps, as does drinking the water.....I'm sure.

Good luck everyone for this upcoming week.

Evelyn

Ok SuperBob .... you are pretty much on track for you goal ... if my math is right:rolleyes: ... I think a 2 pound loss every 1.5 months will put you at 16 pound loss for the year so you only need to slip in 4 pounds between now and then .... No problem for SuperBob:D

Half a pound here, half a pound there .... they add up to reaching your goal ... whatever that is:p

Great job Evelyn!! .... 8.4 in a month and half!!!! Fantastic:D

Up 2 pounds from last week. :( Oh well. I'm not happy, but not beating myself up either.

Superbob took his DW to Barnes & Noble, and then she spied a new Carrabbas nearby and said why don't we eat there? Not exactly the place you want to go if you're getting the cals and carbs back under control. (Lex Luthor at work again -- that sinister force!)

Ah, but Superbob outsmarted LL. He asked the waiter if they offered whole-wheat pasta -- and yes they do. Much better, healthier than the white. So Superbob didn't partake of the basket of bread, got the whole-wheat pasta AND saved half of it to take home for dinner tomorrow!

Take that, LL! Superbob is on to your dastardly schemes and is back on track -- the comeback superhero! :);)

And Lois is soooooo appreciative!;)

I am up 1.5 lbs which is not a surprise to me:mad: I knew that the Mojitos, marguarits, Bailey's irish coffees and the avocado rolls, and eating out for most of the time the last two weeks will show now!! On top of all, I did not do any exercise at all last week...busy with the leak repairs on the roof and trying to stand steady due to the light headedness I had the last two weeks from my coreg which is now stopped and I am starting to feel much better.

So, starting 166
Last week: 166
this week: 167.5

So, talking about feeling better, I am off for an hour walk.:)

Those hour walks really make the difference, and even knowing this I'll
STILL put it off at times.
How has your thyroid been? I am right on the border at 4.8. I like to be 2.
I just miss the good old days when a week of staevation would take 5lbs
off. Those days are gone!:(''

Sometimes the margaritas and Mexican food can be worth a temporary
pound:D Hope I'm not breaking any rules by saying that. After all Cooker
tries to force cake down us on every celebratory day...I think he is just
trying to win by any means available;):)

Hi Dina,

I hate not being able to blame it on my thyroid, as my TSH is where I exactly like it to be: 2.4 :) When it was 4.8 that was hypo for me and I fought to increase my dosage...

I agree about the drinks...I take them once ((3 times :D in 2 wks)) in a blue moon, but cannot resist the avodo rolls at Cheese Cake Factory. Do not try them if you have not yet:D

I hope the gain is temporary, as I feel swollen...

Thanks, :)

After being too chicken to weigh in last week, I kicked it into gear this week. I followed the WW recommendations and tracked everything I put into my mouth - even the 10 chips that I ate when my husband left the open bag sitting beside me! I didn't exercise very much, although I bought a bicycle Saturday night and rode for about 30 minutes yesterday. Anymore and I wouldn't have been able to sit down today! Anyway, I just returned from my WW meeting and I lost 4.6 in the last two weeks. That's a total of 7.8 now! I'm well within WW goal range, but about 11 more will put me at the top of my personal goal.

I still haven't weighed in. But I don't think there are any changes. I'm going to give up sweets for Lent. See if I can kick the demon. It's not like I eat a lot of sweets, but boy do I crave them!

Very encouraging, Lisa! Way to go. I am happy for you and I may re-join WW again...I was a lifetime member once:rolleyes: but I have to pay now!

Karlynn, every time I gave up sweets for lent, it took me many months befored I craved it again. Good luck:)

Wow!! We are seeing some impressive posts this week ? I have read all and applaud the losers as well as the stay the ?samers? and the going uppers ?. I really appreciate the way you folks keep this going ?. I have been and still am very under the weather and quite frankly have not had the energy to respond to each one individually ?. And anyway, when I get this sick the wit is the first thing to go so I don?t think I would have added much over the past few days?.

That being said, this weeks weigh in is just a few days away and I?m sure we will continue on the path ?.. As far as giving up sweets, NOYL:p

Dang, Mr. Chimp -- sorry you are under the weather.

To cheer you up, think about Bikini Season! :D;) It's right around the corner. And there is no place better to celebrate teeny Bikinis than the Grand Strand right in the chimp's tropical clime!
