I am proud to say on October 20 I completed Nationwide Children Hospital Half Marathon in Columbus Ohio with a time of 2 hours and 45 minutes, I hope this encourages others to be active and continue with their lives. I am 69 years old and in 2015 had OPH surgery to implant an Edwards Aortic Bovine Valve. I take daily 25mg of Metropolol.
Good luck to everyone

Congratulations! That’s a big accomplishment and no small feat, regardless of heart condition.

well done, (*hat tip*) I love these good news stories ... I've never been a runner, and instead prefer hiking, cycling, and XC skiing.

Beats my time. The last one I ran was about 3:10 at age 65, I think. They actually dismantled the finish line before I got in. The guy who had been in last place most of the way passed me at mile 11 when I started to walk, so they thought they were done when he came in.
