NEJM 12-17-15 reports an antidote for factor Xa anticoagulants has been created using recombinant genetic technology
This is a heart valve replacement forum. What does xa inhibitor anticoagulants have to do with preventing thrombosis in mechanical heart valves. All of the experiments have been halted using xa inhibitor anticoagulants on mechanical heart valve patients due to high mortality rates in trials. Warfarin works just fine and it has an antidote..
