Alt levels?

I just received the results from my annual blood test, and it looks like I may be anemic with high ALT levels (related to liver). The ALT levels have increased over the last 4 years when I look back at records (my surgery was 6 years ago) but highest change this past year. I don’t drink and don’t eat red meat. Anyone experienced something similar? This past year I was put on a blood pressure medicine. Otherwise, no changes. I’ve been on warfarin since 2015.

I don't know anything about ALT levels and what I found on-line is not straightforward. Like most "abnormal" values it may not be off on reanalysis. It may go high with getting older. It could be a marker for sending you to a new and different but good looking specialist I've had abnormal kidney results, was sent to a specialist and spent a lot of money on testing (24hr urine collection - great fun) until they became normal again w/o treatment. However, the specialist gave me a recommendation for an excellent Pinoy restaurant Rest easy and wait for your consultation with the doctor who assesses your results.

Well interestingly, they did a retest and the ALt level went from 49 to 16. Normal. Weird! I am however very anemic. Ferritin level of 6.

Glad to hear it. I think beans are high in iron, time for more legumes such as baked beans I used to be anemic due to chronic bleeding and generic iron pills are cheap, just don't take too much.
