Congratulations Dick. I also had OHS in 1967, but I had to wait 40 more years for AVR and like you I did not expect to live to a grand old age. I hoped to see in the new year 2000. I am now 613868 hours young and hoping to celebrate 1000000 hours hmmm only 44 more years to go.
Flex, Unless you get hit by a truck I would imagine you'll make 76..........BUT I ain't done yet

When I was seven or eight years old, I was thinking about 2000. What would I be like? Would I even live that long? I'm sure I had other questions (but none of them were the crazy fears that some people had 22 or 23 years ago about the world coming to an end just because the calendar rolled over).
I've survived past the year 2000, past 2020, and am well on my way to getting through 2021.
I wonder what my 7 year old self would have to say about the things we enjoy today.

John - yes, I'm concerned about the 2038 problem, too. (For those who aren't familiar with this, in 1970, engineers developed a way of indicating time, to the millisecond, using a measure of 2 to the 100th power to indicate date and time.
That number will be reached in 2038. What then?
As a computer journalist, I asked some experts about this, and they claim that they've got some ways to get around that limit. Maybe 2038 won't be that bad, after all.
Of course, I doubt that I'll be around long enough to hit that limit.

Another doomsday prediction?? I'll put that in "file 13" along with the thousand others I have heard over the years. Thank god it won't bother me as I doubt I'll be around at age 112......but who knows
