5 months post op and am having small sharp stings around the heart

I had a Bentals procedure in Feb and on and off over the past few months (more so in the past few days) I have noticed very quick sharp stabs around the heart area. Its not really painful as such, it just worries me a little. Anyhow I would like to know if anyone else has felt this sensation...

How long until you can 'safely' fly after a Bentalls?

My partners operation was end of Feb and he was out of Hospital around the 1st of May, he also had a pacemaker put in and is on Coumudin and a BetaBlocker. Is it safe for him to take one 2 hour flight on the 18th of June and a return flight on the 19th? Any advice would be greatly appreciated :)

Im not sure, however i do know that noni juice is amazing for health. It tastes TERRIBLE, like vomit to be exact.....but the heath benefits far outweigh the vile taste ;) I do wish that more valvers were in to alternative nutrition, as there just seems to be so little info around on herbal and...

reducing coumadin intake with fish oils?

Also its just his general doctor (GP) that handles the warfarin dosing. Thats odd re the antibiotics as we thought that must have been the reason it dropped so much... Hmmm so the only other things that happened out of the usual were that he stopped taking coumudin and went on to meropolol...

Ahh ok, we are in Australia where the 5mg is green, the 2mg is light purple and the 1mg is cream ;) AL Capshaw, Im still getting used to understanding the INR properly, so do you mean that you think they have upped his dosage to quickly and to much? So far he was totally stable sitting on 2.6...

Nope, he never mentioned any of those things, he simply said everything seems fine, he's happy with how it has all gone and that after he does his surgery he likes to see how it all looks with a CT scan and then he likes to do that every year or two (CT scan again) That may be how he likes to...

Told to have CT scan 3 months post op then every 12 moths! is this normal??!

Thanks for your input catwoman, I have also heard from people in the medical industry that CT scans are used far more often that needed and they are putting people at risk unnecessarily. (google unnecessary CT scans and a heap of news stories should pop up) Thats a interesting point re profit...

Told to have CT scan 3 months post op then every 12 moths! is this normal??!

Thanks for your input. Im aware that they use alot of radiation for cancer patients, and to be honest Im not the greatest fan of it for healing cancer, Im more for the gerson method and beating it naturally instead of radiation therapy, however thats another subject :) My point is more that...

Hi all :) Hoping we can get your thoughts on this situation.. My fiance is feeling concerned as he had his first visit to see the surgion since the op. The surgion said he feels happy with his progress and that he would like to have a CT Scan in 3 months (the op was a month ago) and then...
