Anyone order Warfarin from India/Canada/other countries without prescription?

Asking for a friend. Their health insurance changed and it would seem cheaper to just order from online pharmacy versus via health insurance. Anyone have experience or suggestions for places to order from? Thank you. PS The Coagucheck sticks are cheaper via ebay than they are from insurance.

    4 years today

The day has come and gone, and I almost forgot that 4 years ago today I had received a new aortic heart valve. Funny thing is that if I was not reminded earlier this week by my family I would not have remembered. Nothing to report, things are going well, INR is stable around 2.3, heart is...

Anyone getting ready to partake in any sporting events anytime soon?

Alright team, it's been a little while since anyone posted about their training for running, biking and other events. The spring is in full bloom and there are lots of events coming up in your areas to compete in. Who is doing what and when? Just to lead by example, I will do a powerlifting...

2 years since my heart was bionically enhanced

Could not come up with a better title. ;) What's there to say, 2 years and 1 day ago I was doing my taxes and putting finishing touches on some random emails and not sleeping while waiting for the morning of my surgery. I still remember the night before. The messages from many board members...

GymGuy 22-months update - Powerlifting, 10k runs and other fun stuff

I have been visiting here sporadically, but completely forgot to update you guys on some huge accomplishments (for me) that I've achieved in the past 3-4 months. First, and most importantly, I see the everyone is doing relatively well, and old-timers are still helping out the newbs and others...

    One year anniversary

My 1 year anniversary was last week and while I remembered it due to a calendar reminder, I sort of did not even do anything about it. Today, I decided to post up and say hi. I am here once every two or three weeks checking up on anything that I might be able to help with. I am happy to...

Powerlifting competition at almost 1 year post OHS anniversary - 3/23/2013

Was not sure if new thread was warranted for this, but I have another competition coming up on March 23rd, 2013. I have been training for it since January 2nd, 2013. This time I am deadlifting only and hope to send a lifetime PR. My training for past 13 weeks was pretty tough, and I have...

MRI with On-X - all good

Had my first MRI of my heart since surgery at a little under 9 month. The MRI went uneventfully. I brought this print out (http://www.onxlti.com/heart-valves/medical-professionals/mri-memo/) with me and told them my valve type and name (Aortic Valve by On-X) Turns out, they googled the same...

    6 month update

I have been more active in the "exercising forum" than others, but wanted to make a post here for the pre-surgery and some post-surgery folks. My surgery was a tiny bit over 6 month ago, and while to some it might seem as a very short time this has probably been the longest and most productive...

My first powerlifting competition date is set - 9/22/2012

I was a bit hesitant to share this for a little bit, but I have been training this whole summer for my first post OHS powerlifting competition which will take place on September 22nd, 2012. I will not set any records or do anything super impressive. I just want to walk out on the platform...

How much Vitamin K do you consume?

Just curious how much vitamin K you guys consume? If you are willing to share specifics that would be great too. I will start. I consume around 190-230mcg of K per day. I take 80mcg in multi-Vitamin form at 9am, and same at 9pm, so thats 160mcg total from multi-Vitamins only. For lunch I...

    Expired CoaguChek XS strips

I see that some places sell expired, like 1-3 years expired, but new, CoaguChek XS testing strips. The 24pk and 2x24pk would average out to about $2-$2.50 per strip. If the strips have expiration are they still good after? What is the reason that they sell 2 year expired strips? Are these...

    3 month update

It has been 3 month since my surgery. Boy, does the time fly. I am happy to report that I am 100% back to normal. What I call "normal" may in fact be a "new normal", but for me it's the ability to do everything/anything that I want to do physically. I have to admit, I have spent majority...

Picture of the back of CoaguChek XS

Anyone that has gotten the monitor in the past 12 month would you mind taking a picture of the back of it. I am looking to buy one at some point soon and want to make sure I do not buy a 7+ year old model. I have 2 images here of the backs and they both look different, so I am trying to learn...

Now that I know this particular part of the forum is private, here is another picture with scars. Again, I am not into hawaii shirts so here is the full upper body shot in all its gory (erm... glory - ha!) 3 days VS 3 weeks VS 9 weeks: Also, a 9 week closeup: All things have healed up...
