    Stupid scheduler ever

Yikes. That's truly redunkulous! I had to go round and round about MRIs about retained epicardial pacing wires. But not the valve.

    Well, that was quick!

Congratulations to you, cuoricino! Keep right on healing and getting stronger!

    Husband gets Micra AV pacemaker

Marsha, that's a remarkable story of how your husband came to receive that particular, cutting-edge pacemaker. It all sounds right on time, and to have so many details align to make this happen, is glorious! Congratulations and kudos to you for persevering to get him the best possible outcome...

    Well, that was quick!

Bizinsider, I had not been told that a new root would decrease the life of a bio valve. My root is porcine and this may help explain my own experience. Of all people, Dr. Svennson should know. Wow.

Cuoricino, I hate that you're suffering such intense symptoms and need another surgery. But wishing you super smooth sailing with your procedure and all recovery!

    Cyborg in training

John, they started me on Amiodarone in the hospital and over several weeks the dose was gradually reduced. Was on it about 3 months total. I know it's an onerous drug, but my EP doctor said it's the most effective rhythm drug on the market. Best wishes to you!

FWIW, where I live, you have to wait three months before being allowed to self test.

    Anxiety about upcoming surgery.

They released you quickly! Awesome report, though I'm sorry you're still having some severe pain. Moving the water out does take a bit of time. Great to hear you're recovering well.

    Anxiety about upcoming surgery.

Buckeye, I know the wait is stressful. Re: potential constipation, as I recall, they gave me both senna and a stool softener in the hospital. Typically, they will ensure your bowels are moving ok before they'll discharge you.

    Anxiety about upcoming surgery.

Hope talking here helps! Everyone's different, for sure. I had no symptoms ahead of surgery. Walked two miles on day seven or eight after my op. Shifted quickly to Tylenol for pain while in hospital. Could shower independently with ease. But...I was plagued by a few complications, which were...
