Hi All I'm writing to you from Maine where we're on vacation. Of course, something always has to go awry, so why shouldn't this one be any different. When we were on Long Island, we went and did all our drs visits. The cardio was great, the eye dr, fine, etc. Until we got to our internist...

    Cholest-off

I was just wondering if anyone here takes Cholestoff or any "natural" product to help lower their cholesterol. I've been reading about it and thought I might give it a try for both of us. Does anyone know if a problem with this and warfarin? Sounds very interesting and if possible I would...

Just thought I'd let everyone know that I spoke with Roche this morning and they have NO DATE for release of new/replacement strips for the Coaguchek machine. Originally, they had told me the first quarter of 2007 was their date, which would have been March.......Well, March has come and gone...

Hi All We just got back from the cardio today from Tyce's INR test and his 6 month ekg......Now you have to know I really really like our cardio!!! All was well except that his INR was 5.5. For those of you who, like us, are still waiting for the new strips to come out, I called Roche today and was told that strips will NOT be available before the FIRST QUARTER of 2007....some time around April at the earliest. I was also told that controls WILL be shipped with the strips that are...

    Inratio/hemosense

Hi All Just wondering who owns an inratio by Hemosense and what do you think about it. Our cardio just bought a few for his coumadin clinic and we're thinking of purchasing one just because of the Coaguchek debacle and lack of strips.....I definitely want to be in control of Tyce's coumadin...

Baking in the sun comes back to haunt us down the road.

Hi All I'd appreciate all your opinions on this topic. Tyce has to have a precancer actinic keratosis??? (I think) removed from beside his left eye. Is the best way to freeze it or have it removed surgically, in office, by a plastic surgeon??? I do realize that freezing it entails no...
