    Thank you for your reply. Might get another couple of years before surgery yet 🤞 Appointment with consultant next week. The bit in last echo report.."Overall left systolic function is preserved. No evidence of left ventricular hypertrophy, the right heart is normal."...sounds not too bad to me.

    Surgery - What Day of the Week is Best?

    Hi, In UK mortality rates have been shown to increase over weekends as consultants and more senior dr's aren't there if complications occur. Tues sounds good for me; gives surgeon/staff time to get over a boozy weekend and concentrate on job. :-)

    Thanks for that AZ Don, Leaning towards tissue at moment. I'm hoping on going on couple of remote surf trips before i get too old ( mentawiis etc..) and dont know what the consequences would be if i hit the reef (fairly common!!) if on warfarin.

    Hi,thanks for replies I had an mri when they discovered the murmur to rule out aortic dissection,but they dont like doing them in NHS UK for routine stuff...probably due to cost! ! I can only ask! Its usualy 3 months from referral to surgery here with an invasive angiogram in this period...
