    Two Year Anniversary

Today was my 2 year anniversary. A different kind of birthday. I celebrated with a 4 mile run and a nice juicy bison and bacon cheeseburger and fries from Ted’s Montana Grill for lunch!! I'll take it!

    Atlanta Peachtree Road Race

I ran the Peachtree Road Race 10K on the 4th of July. Time was 1:05. Not my personal best but it was my best that day! I'll take it :) Had a great time. Loved all the people, cardiac hill was a breeze, and ran the entire way, weather was great for July in Atlanta. I did cut 5 minutes of my...

    New Year's Day 10K

New Years day Resolution Run 10K, Done! 1:02:30. Not to bad. My fastest 10K time since the big event. Right on a 10 minute pace. I sure would like to get my pace back down to around 9:30 or so. Good to have goals I guess. Happy New Year to all!!

    Running update

It's been awhile since I've posted an update. I've been quietly surfing around the posts here. I have been working on my half marathon/marathon training plan. I've been on a 16 week marathon plan and seem to have been doing really good. I've been running four days a week and my long run is...

Was wondering if anyone is taking any supplements and or vitamin packs? Prior to the big event I was taking GNC extreme athlete vitamen pack with an extra creatine. I felt like it made a big difference in my workouts and long runs. Seemed to help with energy and didn't seem to get as tired...

    Run times and distance

In my opinion, my run times suck. My last three runs have been two 3 mile treadmill runs at 9.45min per mile avg pace, varied between 6.0 and 6.3 with last quarter of a mile at 6.5, and this mornings run outside on the silver comet trail, 3 mile run and a 10:20 avg pace. Passed by everyone out...

I have my first real cold since my AVR!

What a pain in the butt this has been. Coughing, runny nose, sneezing. I'm six months post op and this is the first time I've really gotten sick. Seems like you cannot take most OTC cold medicines if you tale warfarin. What do most of you take for cough, colds, and flu?

How long before you returmed to work fulltime?

I was just wondering how much time off from work most people took and how long before you returned to being fully active in your jobs and lives? I am 5 months post-op and seem to be doing fine. I returned to work part time after two months. I have completed cardiac rehab and completed two 5k...
