Recovery of Ejection Fraction post AVR

Well I just recently had an aortagram and they noted I still have grade 1 diastolic dysfunction. My diameter is 4.6cm which is .1 less than 3 years ago. I doubled up my losartan to 50mg and doubled up metoprolol to 50mg. Losartan is supposed to stabilize the connective tissue of Aorta based...

Inspiris Resilia vs On-x, can't decide

On-X boy here. 3 years and 5 months and still ticking not loudly. I keep Inr at 2.1, Use a total of 8 mg a week, along with asa. Don’t regret my decision. I measure every 2 weeks with my lab . Not a problem. Glad I don’t have to do it again. Tony

Should I push to replace my mid ascending aorta?

My diameter has not changed since surgery. If I stated I did it was mistaken. Intra-operative measurement was 4.3. Still there. The ARB agent is supposed to inhibit enzyme that breaks down collagen/connective tissue. Anyways YMMV.

Should I push to replace my mid ascending aorta?

My Aorta got to 4.3 cm by the time I had surgery and it was not replaced. That was 3.5 years ago. 4.5 was the number they were going to go by to replace the Aorta. Since that time I did some reading about Marfan’s syndrome, people who have a connective tissue disorder who frequently die of...

    Some photos to relax with.

Best attempt so far at Heart Nebula, Only capture right and left atrium and AV node (LOL). Will need to try a mosaic on multiple nights. Or will try with different scope. Reflection nebulas are hard for me to photograph.

Decided above exposure destroyed some depth to shot. Here is a shot with less than 3 hours of data in it. I like it better. Rosette Nebula.

Just processed a shot of Rosette 🏵️ nebula with a combined over 10 hours of stacked exposures over multiple nights. Amazingly processed on iPad with native IOS software.

For Solar Filters I highly recommend Baader Planetarium solar film for the aperture of your scope. Guiding is recommended to get sharp shots. You want to use short exposures with moon, planets, and sun. Longer exposures with DSO. I would say equatorial mount is the best for astrophotography...

My first attempt at 2xmag of 50mm lens doing a stacked video file. Then did some minor pp. Not a dedicated solar scope but pretty happy happy with there zoom upgrade. I find looking at a ball of 70%Hydrogen and 30%helium fascinating how it is there.

Wow that is a great view of the arm of Milky Way. Pretty great Astro work mixing with topside. I want to start doing that . Mount it on top of the OTA for guiding. Don’t have to do too long with dslr.

More Key West photos. The tarpon are as big as humans. . They are a challenge to photograph under water with their reflective scales. The Seestar had a couple of firmware updates and added a 2 to 4x zoom. 4x not really usable since it’s all digital.

    Some photos to relax with.

I was into visual astronomy about 25 years ago. I have taken shots underwater, topside, and now going to the heavens. That shot was taken with a Seestar telescope. It is quite the cheat it has built in gps, Wi-Fi, Hydrogen/Oxygen filter, triplet 50mm lens design. It is on an Alt/Az mount...

Whirlpool Galaxy . It would take traveling at at 187,000 miles/sec for 31 million light years to get there. I doubt galaxy is even there. Taking that amount of time for a photon of light to get here. Shot was only 112 minutes of stacked photos.
