    4 weeks post op today

Thank you for sharing! I wasn’t sure if that was the norm and seemed a little long to wait in between testing! It actually made me nervous. 2 weeks makes the most sense as it’s really just a finger prick and doesn’t take much time at all to make sure all is well. Thank you for your input. I...

    4 weeks post op today

I believe I have to wait 6 months first. I don’t mind the lab. It’s leas than 10 minutes from my house and she said the goal is to in every 6 weeks once stabilized.

    diastolic heart failure

Hopefully this is something that can be treated. You sound defeated and I just want to encourage you to hang in there! It’s good you have a diagnosis now so the dr can work on finding ways to treat it. Maybe you just need some different meds.

    diastolic heart failure

I’m so sorry to hear this. Can I ask what your symptoms were? Do you have a mechanical valve?

Saving this chart! Thank you! I think I’ve seen it before but forgot about it. This lessens my anxiety.

    4 weeks post op today

Wow I can’t believe it’s been almost a month since my surgery. I have to remind myself of where I came from and realize that the pain I still feel is not like it was. I still have a lot of nerve pain around my chest and breast area…. I don’t know if being bustier makes it worse, but that has...

Why its probably hard to stay in range for some...

I do have a bottle but I have an alarm. How long do you think it typically takes to stay (for the most part) in range. We are still figuring out my numbers. I’m 3 1/2 weeks out. I was at 2.3, increased, 3 days later I was at 2.2 and I am very careful about vitamin k foods.

    After surgery…

I don’t know if they were actually varicose veins, but that’s exactly what it looked like. Maybe lack of oxygen? I just know they’re gone now! 😊

    Not bicuspid?!?

I did not have an aneurism. It was just severe AI with regurgitation.

    Not bicuspid?!?

No calcification either, but I’ll definitely look into the test!

    Not bicuspid?!?

I don’t understand some of the technical terms in the link you sent. But I’m trying!

    Not bicuspid?!?

I guess compared to what everyone says the age of typical valve failure. This is all so interesting to me. I do wish there was a concrete answer.

    Not bicuspid?!?

I’m glad it hadn’t progressed to anything worse. My heart was in a great shape with no CAD. My biggest symptom at the time was extreme hypertension when standing and palpitations. I had other symptoms previously but this was what started the whole ordeal of a 911 call, etc. i believe I had...

    Not bicuspid?!?

Very much so!! I couldn’t find very much googling. It seems it was a rare occurrence for me. Especially being so young.
