    Prayers needed

My daughter collapsed at work today with chest pains. She is in the hospital now and they have found a narrowed artery. More testing tomorrow. She is only in her forties. She has been complaining to her doctor about dizziness and headaches for a long time now. They checked her out for inner ear...

I thought I would give you an update on the Mallard ducks in the pond. The drake has left, I guess his job is over with and for the first time, Mom is sitting on the nest full time. So from what I have read, in about 28-30 days, I should see some ducklings. Too bad Joe isn't here to...

    "So that's why I have a headache!"

Here's is Woody Woodpecker knocking himself silly on my next door neighbor's tree. He has an entire condo all up and down that tree. I'm not sure the neighbor knows about it, since it is facing my side of the property. I heard this constant hammering, and went out to see what it was, so now I know.

    birds, Mother Nature's gifts

I just got back from taking my little dog for a walk in the gloaming of the evening. It is one of the most peaceful and beautiful times of day, except for daybreak which I rarely get out in. This is the time when the song birds sing their evening songs. It's really extraordinary to hear them...

    look at this beauty

The sunshine is glorious today, and there were several of these butterflies flitting through the yard. What a gorgeous color in the bright sunshine. I think they are Anglewings or Comma butterflies.

another spring critter, not as cute!

In the Spring and Fall spiders seem to come into the house. Thank goodness for my trusty cootie catcher, because some of them give me the "crawlies" and this is one. It's really a little guy, maybe about 3/8" or so. It's a crab spider. There are quite a few of them outside. They get relocated...

what are the alternatives to AOL?

I may have to go to another ISP in the distant future. I have AOL now, and have had it forever. Now, without Time Warner, I fear that its days may be numbered or it will become ever more unstable. It is already driving me wild with its automatic start-ups, heavy advertising which makes all the...
