I had AVR in November and they put in a pacemaker. I am still in AFib and will be seen in a couple of weeks by my Cardio Doctor. Has anyone with a pacemaker had cardioversion? I was wondering if anything special has to be done with the pacemaker before cardioversion can be done?

He is also doing the tummy shots for ten days. INR won't be rechecked until Monday.

Oh, they did put in a pacemaker. A little AFib has returned and the electrical top and bottom of the heart is out of rythum . I'm sure there is a better way to say that, but I know nothing about an electrical part.

I'm still waiting to find out if I get the TAVR. It's a low risk over 65 yo study. That's the way I want to go! My wife thinks open heart would be best, so if trouble later in life I could go for the TAVR. I'm 72 yo. Either way, since it's a study, I don't get to choose.

Had the heart cath Wednesday. Everything went well. No blockage. The heart team meets Monday to decide on the candidates. I have met two of the doctors now. I'm hoping to find out next week and get a surgery date set up.
