Moderate regurgutation after mitral valve repair

Thank you for your response. It's the same since surgery and cardiologist will order an echo each year to monitor it.

Moderate regurgutation after mitral valve repair

I had mitral valve repair 3 years ago. Since then, each echocardiogram shows moderate regurgitation. I am checked to be sure the heart doesn't enlarge. Have any of you experienced this?

Mild regurgitation post mitral valve repair surgery

Hello, I had mitral valve repair 15 months ago. My recent echocardiogram shows mild regurgitation. My cardiologist is not concerned and I don't have to come back or have another echo for a year. I am reassured but wondered if anyone else has had this? Thanks.

Mitral valve repair - after effects

Epstns Sorry for the late reply. I had to look up my results to tell you what arrythmias I was experiencing while wearing the event device. I had only one A-Fib incident that was 23 days after mitral valve repair surgery. The others are PVC SV Salvo, SVPC and PAT. So those are premature...

Can you help me with this? Nervous.

Thank you very much for your comment on the regurgitation after your surgery. That information helps me feel better about this latest echo report. I see my cardiologist on Friday.

Can you help me with this? Nervous.

Hi I just got my echocardiogram results from last week and I don't see my cardiologist until next week. I am reading this and getting nervous. I had minimally invasive mitral valve repair 15 months ago and I had a LVEF between 55% and 65% and it is now between 40 to 45%. Also, it shows mild...

Mitral valve repair - after effects

Im 15 months post mitral valve repair. I'm feeling great and exercising consistently. I wore an event device for a month after experiencing A fib once and the device showed that I have some irregular beats so I have to take coumidan for life. Anyone else experience this?

85 Silent Migraines Since Surgery 10/2018

They are painless migraines with auras (mine are colored zig zags) lasting 20 minutes. They are caused by the same brain changes. Also known as acephalgic migraines.

85 Silent Migraines Since Surgery 10/2018

I had an average of 6 to 12 silent migraines per year starting in 2006. After mitral valve repair I have had 85. That number does not include the days I had 2 or 3 per day. I have consulted with the surgeon who told me to drink more water, my cardiologist who never heard of it and my primary...

Migraine aura anyone? Or does the cheese stand alone?

Update on my experience with auras. I was told to take B2 and magnesium and feverfew by a neurologist. I cant take the feverfew due to coumidan. I posted awhile back that Ive had a huge increase in the auras since mitral valve repair probably from the heart lung machine. Drs. dont seem...

Migraine aura anyone? Or does the cheese stand alone?

I was getting around 12 auras a year from 2006 to 2018. I had mitral valve repair in Oct 2018. I have had 45 since then. They last 20 minutes. Sun fluorescent lights glare and television are triggers. My surgeon and cardiologist have never heard of this. I have seen many posts online. Many have...

Question on b/p increase 7 months after surgery

I had a mitral valve heart repair 7 months ago. I've been doing very well and completed all of my cardio rehab appointments. During rehab my blood pressure was checked and was always in the 120's over 60+ or 70+. I didn't check it for about a month and was surprised to see it was 171/65 and...

    Arrythmias

I had mitral valve repair. Arrythmias are paroxymal atrial tachycardia lasting seconds. A couple of a fibs in 6 months. I was told you can have a clot form so blood thinners are recommended. I wonder if the arrythmias will disappear with time. r
