Oh WOW! Man! you should be proud! thank you so so much for sharing! Fortunatelly they managed to save my valve, it was transform from a "monocuspid" (yeah, I had never heart that one before) to a perfect "bicuspid". So I guess for me it will be getting use to train as a "almost" normal person...
Ok, I got it. I not only went for a valve repair, I had a huge 5.5 aneurysm in the ascending aorta that needed repair. They went for the full opening! Quite a "souvenir" they left in my chest.
I have created a Youtube channel with the recovery, unfortunatelly is in Spanish, but I may come across interesting to see the machines and how my face changes from one day to the next.

Hi,
I´m just going to share the line of thoughts that took me to my decision. But let me point out that I don´t want anybody to think the same way. I´m just going to share.
There were a few factors that made me go for the repair or bio valve. First is the noise. I have a story of anxiety and...

Hi All,
What you are about to read is basically the end of a threat I created while ago called “Exercise and Tissue valve” but due to the amazing turn of events it´s not really valid anymore. I think people can benefit from what I went through so happy to answer your questions.
I´m a...
Hi Everybody! I'm back after surgery!
As you know I was really hesitant to have a mechanical valve and I chose a tissue valve instead. The chosen method of operation was performing a David with a slight chance of valve repairing and, if not possible, install the tissue one. My valve was one of...
Thank you much for your feedback, it really gives me hope and a light at the end of the tunnel I’m about to enter. May I ask you a question, I assume you had the first tissue valve replaced already at 45, did you go for another tissue or mechanical this time?
Thanks!
Hi All,
I have a question for all. But first I´d like to state that I´m not very good with the search option on this Forum so if the question has been asnwered in another thread please point me in the right direction and accept my apologies for bothering you.

Hi themalteser,
please don't worry at all for the questions, happy to answers them.
My valve is perfectly fine at the moment, not leaky at all, fully functional. But they pointed out that it felt quite abnormal and with a high risk of degeneration in the few years. And yep, when you look at...
Hi Everybody,
It’s been a while since my last post. Last time I posted was to ask about the PEARS method as an alternative to fix my aortic aneurism, unfortunately that’s no longer the case. After the board of doctors following my case got together a few weeks ago they got to the conclusion...
themalteser Agree with you, a total no brainer. I'm been considered for it at the moment. I have a CT scheduled in a few weeks that I hope should sort out any doubts. I asked Tal exactly your question and this is the answer
Surgery around the aortic root is difficult because the aorta is buried...
themalteser Agree, he is an amazing guy and very informative. Regarding the perhaps, I ask him exactly about it. What if I need a replacement in the future, the answer was:
The PEARS/ExoVasc implant becomes fully incorporated into the adventitia (outer layer of the aorta) but is made of...
