    The comment with tavi valve I valve giving higher stroke risk. My wife had a trial where a net is inserted while new valve is installed to catch any calcification and then withdrawn. This is the new technology. Local hospital doing 5 tavi procedures a day. Life is good! .

    Had an Aortic Edward’s Bovine Valve installed 2009 14 years of normal life still working fine. Age now 76, my wife has just had a tavi fitted and out of hospital the next day. Advise dental hygiene. Johnb

    13 year Edwards Magna Perimount Anniversary

    I also 13 years with Edward’s bovine. My father also had valve replacement age 74, unfortunately did not survive the surgery. Have two brothers with no heart issues yet must be some genetic connection.

    How has it been since your Valve replacement?

    Hi I am now 73, 11 years with my Edwards Tissue and had a completely normal life, we are very fortunate to live at this time. No wrong decisions 70 years ago none of us would be here to support each other.

    Tissue 5.4 Year check up!

    Now 73 have been 11 years with my bovine valve, living normal life with the standard meds statin etc. At 58 when first diagnosed my GP with a stethoscope let me listen to my heart then his, mine went bleep bleep splosh his did not have a splosh.
