    Tissue Valve - 10 yrs?

    FWIW, my surgeon (same as Steve's above) said at my age of 45 that I would be at 80+% at hitting 10 years and 50+% for 20 years with my tissue valve.

    BAV and First Degree Relatives

    My surgery was just over two weeks ago and my sister went in for an echo yesterday. Sure enough she has a BAV but fortunately no leaking or stenosis.
