Migraine aura anyone? Or does the cheese stand alone?

"Then was tried on a seizure medication. Started low dose and worked up to theraputic dose with no ill effects and have been on same dose now for six months. This is the first thing that seems to have a big effect. In six months I have had five ocular migraines. The month before I had seven...

    Mental recovery

I had my surgery last August and for me the mental part has been the toughest. Meditation has helped me greatly but it is a work in progress, or, as they say, a practice. I think the words that keep coming to my mind is that I’m constantly thinking that something’s wrong. I attribute this to...

    Post Surgery update

My worst pain wasn’t my sternum but my right shoulder/upper back. I slowly weaned off of the NSAIDS and added those Salon Pas patches at night which helped along with having my husband use a massage roller ball on the area each night. The turning point for me on this pain was when I was allowed...

    Edwards Resilia Inspiris Aortic Valve

This seems to make sense since the second jab often elicits a bit of a reaction that I would think wouldn’t be great in immediate recovery.

    Edwards Resilia Inspiris Aortic Valve

Why yes there was, but probably not in the way you’re thinking. I was scheduled for surgery in July and tested Covid positive the day before the surgery. Thankfully I was asymptomatic but had to test negative twice before they’d reschedule the surgery. I suspect my surgeon wasn’t quite sure...

my self management results for 2020

Agreed. BAD oil is a killer for the heart. Oils like canola, etc. are bad for you. Olive oil, coconut oil, etc. are fine. Also sugar is horrible for the heart a well. The updated saying is, don't blame the butter for what the bread did!

    6 months post-surgery today!

Having been through all of this, your theory seems plausible. Fortunately it’s not debilitating and I’m sure it will improve with time, as my brain continues to experience my good and durable health. I certainly don’t take it for granted and am grateful every day!

    6 months post-surgery today!

Just wanted to give an update that today marks 6 months since my aortic valve and aneurysm surgery last August. I happened to see my cardiologist this week and she said my recovery was amazing, in the top 1%. This surprised me and I'm so grateful. Since I was asymptomatic, I've really felt no...

    Edwards Resilia Inspiris Aortic Valve

Interesting that the company has reported reduced sales due to covid. Never thought of that. As someone who gratefully received one of these valves, mid-Pandemic, last August, I consider this welcome news. Thanks for sharing.

    A slight crisis of confidence

In December 2018 I got my surprise diagnosis for BAV and an aortic aneurism. I am now 59 years old. I was in severe stenosis with zero symptoms. Just like you, the diagnosis knocked the wind out of my sails and made for a very anxiety-ridden holiday season. Because I had no symptoms I chose to...
