I can assure you my post is not spam! I can't help it if you've never heard of these associated conditions. Some further reading would reveal much information if you want to educate yourself.
My ex-wife died of Glioblastoma Multiforme and I believe it is the most lethal form of cancer on earth. There are some, very few, in medical literature, that have received vaccine therapy that are 10 year survivors. That's as rare as surviving rabies.
I had a cyst on my right kidney that turned out to be malignant renal cell carcinoma (kidney cancer). My surgeon from the prestigious Mayo Clinic said all cysts or tumors need to come out of the kidney. I've got a long 12" flank scar on my right side and missing half a kidney, BUT, I'm alive...
I was born with club feet. I was also born with flat feet. I had surgery on a carotid artery in my neck about three years ago. I have diabetes. I believe those are associated with BAV. Do any of you have these conditions are others?

Cleveland Clinic told me they are using TAVR in a study on a small group of average risk patients.

My BAV was replaced with a bovine valve about 3 years ago and my Cleveland Clinic surgeon estimates it will get me 20 years down the road which I think is overly optimistic but I hope he is right. The surgeon said TAVR surgery will be commonplace by that time and not just for high risk patients...
Curious what your TAVR experience has been like, how you are getting along and how long has your surgeon estimated your TAVR valve might last. Thanks for your response!
I used to bench 350+. Do you think it would be OK to build up to 225 or should I just do light stuff with 135? I miss lifting but I want to live more than getting my muscles/mass big again. Any info is appreciated. I'm 60 years young 3 years post op.
Just curious....I Had a bovine on 6/5/2013 and they detected a leak two months ago. Is this really common? And are some people able to get 10 years or better out of their valve with a "slight" murmur?
Dr. Gillinov is going to talk to his nurse and his nurse will call me and explain what Gillinov said. Hoping it will be in the next week because like most people, I hate the wait.
Crazy thing is...I just started running and doing airdyne for 60 minutes every morning before work and I haven't felt this good for over 10 years only to find out the valve is leaking. Had my carotid artery operating on last Aug. Ive had 5 surgeries in three years. I'm getting to look like I...
Dr. Gillinov is a very gifted surgeon and in retrospect I am very glad I chose Cleveland. I would guess Dr. Gillinov is in the top ten best valve replacement surgeons in the US.
Sugar free popsicles! In fact, I ate all the Popsicles on my post surgery recovery floor at the Cleveland Clinic. They had to get more from another department:)
I am now 20 months out from my aortic valve replacement surgery at Cleveland. My routine appointment revealed I have a "minor" leak on my bovine replacement valve. Should I panic now or later? He scheduled another echo in six months and suggests I send a CD of my echo to Dr. gillinov who...
