My cardio only says the 1.5-2 because that’s what on-x recommends. My surgeon wanted 2-3 so that’s what I go by. I take 5mg a day and it moves around a bit anywhere from 1.9 -2.7. I it trends lower 2 weeks in a row then I ad a 1 mg once or twice a week evenly spaced out until it returns to a...
I think I feel the click or thud depending on which position I’m in more than I hear it. Funny thing is I now sleep better and fall asleep almost instantly now. My wife calls it my super power.
Hey guys
I’m searching for updated information on INR vs events. I’ll admit that I am terrible at reading chats and graphs and big medical words. I have a Onx valve and have been keeping my INR between 2-3 and my cardio (not my surgeon) wants me to keep it 1.5-2. From the info posted here I...
I had an irregular EKG in a FAA medical. Turned out it was a Left bundle branch block. The FAA decided to run the gamut so I had a nuke, cath lab and echo and discovered it in the echo.
Just for reference. This week I used my meter which is the coaguchek Xs and got a 2.4, dr. uses the same meter and got 2.6. Then I did a blood draw with Labcorp and got a 2.2. This was in a space of about 90 minutes. I try to keep it between 2.5-3 for a little safety margin.

I purchased one on eBay late last year and I have been very happy with it. When I go to my cardio he uses the exact same model. I brought mine a couple of times and I get readings now usually the exact same or .1 off. When I do my lipid panel next month I'll check it there as well.
Your correct, I had talked to two other pilots and they had chose the OnX and were happy with their choice for FAA and the one and done mentality. I personally did not want to have another reop before I retire in 13 years and this seemed like the best possible choice. Very happy with it and...
I remember a lot going on but I think I was out of it and I actually enjoyed watching what was happening, but my sleep was not bothered by any of it. The first night and day they drew blood from my neck until they pulled that port out then it was just a arm stick.
