It’s been a while since I’ve been on the boards, but I figured I would post since this past Saturday was my 10 year anniversary. I can happily say that there have been more ups than downs since my surgery. I guess Joe Walsh sang it best, “Life‘s been good to me so far!”

Congrats! And great song! What part of PA are you in? I'm near Pittsburgh. Used to live in Philly region.

as we say in Oz: "OnYa Marc, keep er goin"

(we don't usually say Marc, but insert proper name ;-)

I won't say if life has been good or bad to me, but so far I've played the hands I've been dealt to be in a good place (just neatened up my solar controller on my shed yesterday as a for in stance).

Best Wishes

Congrats. I had my 7-year back on February 7th and surprisingly I actually forgot about it until a couple of weeks later. Also in Pennsylvania I'm in the suburbs of Philly. Cheers

Where at in the Philly region? I'm in Bucks county, basically a couple of minutes from the Delaware River
Used to live in Downingtown & Exton in Chester Cty.. Nice area. Job change forced relocation. Of course prior to the current virtual environment where people are allowed to live almost anywhere now (for certain positions of course).

Yeah that is a nice area. I'm a little East from there, basically in that little point that sticks into Jersey. I don't have one of those jobs where I can work from anywhere, well I guess I could get a job in the same field somewhere else, but I work for a water authority so not an option for me. Have a good one

Guess I need to update my profile 😊, we relocated to NC about 5 years ago. We were living in Hatfield, which is close to Doylestown.

But no matter where I live, I’ll always be a Jersey boy at heart!

My former neck of the woods. I grew up in Delaware County but lived in Chester County very close to Exton near West Chester for about 10 years or so after leaving the nest in my 20s. Live in Montco (Montgomery County) now and kind of similar rural suburbia kind of vibe but still close by to both Delco & Chesco. I liked Chesco the best.

I liked it as well. I have friends in West Chester, Radnor and Phoenixville. So, I do visit from time to time. Phoenixville has gone thru a major renaissance and is now an upscale town. It is famous for its movie theater. It's where the classic movie "The Blob" was filmed when the people run out of the theater. Filmed in 1958 before I entered this earth. Heard some stories about Steve McQueen driving around the area in his sports car real fast.

I've been meaning to go to "the blob" showing in Phoenixville but like many things it was put in hold the last couple of years. Not that I'm a big fan of the movie but it just seemed like a good day out with the family. Those areas are nice but I have to admit I'm a Bucks county boy at heart. Always figured when growing up I'd move around more but home is home I guess.
On a side note I had an ex girlfriend move out to west Chester then Downingtown in my early 20's. So I did the one hour drive to Downingtown a few times. Funny thing is the drive seemed worth it on the way out but never on the way back....so I stopped after a bit.

Yeah, it's incredible how Phoenixville has been remade the last 20 years or so. It's more like Manayunk now (tons of restaurants/shops). Next Blobfest is in a few months btw. This website has some nice photos etc:
