Hi wil here 21 just had a valve replacement it’s a mechanical one so I’m on warfarin
Does anybody know the affects of cannibis if I was to smoke it?

I had a mitral valve replacement and double bipass in 2017 and am okay now,, says cardiologist, yesterday. Pot is legal here in Illinois in flower", candy and liquid form. So far I smoked 3 grams and my heart is all right. Maybe every 7-10 days, moderate amount. I'm from the Sixties. For the OP--I don't recommend it now. It may interfere with warfarin. why chance it just to get high? You can wait...it will be around...and we want you around, too.

Just adjust your warfarin to the THC that you use. Don't listen to these anti-weed people or reports on the internet. You will probably have to reduce the warfarn by 2.5 mg. As with alcohol, food, and supplements it is important to use the same THC level everyday. Have fun. :)

A news report, citing a study (I'm not sure which University did the study), said that the study showed that the leading group of Marijuana buyers are the 'old' people - probably in their 60s and beyond. It's used for pain relief, stress relief (and I suspect for nausea control and appetite issues).
Works for all the above. Look at Willie he is pushing 90.:)

Giving a dosage reduction is meaningless - people react differently to warfarin. If you DO smoke or eat marijuana make the sacrifice and do it daily -- then adjust your INR to match your personal dosage needs.

Hi, just had to respond to your question regarding smoking cannabis. Smoking is clearly bad for us, so maybe find another way to enjoy your grass. I grow my own medical cannabis each summer, enough to last about a year. I'm a light to moderate user and infuse my grass with green tea to help me sleep. My doctor is more or less OK with this and said that it was certainly better than getting hooked on prescription sleeping pills. In eight years I have noticed NO discernable difference in my INR on the days after taking my tea compared to those days when no tea has been drank. So, maybe moderation is the key. Good luck and may you live a long, happy and slightly stoner life !

How or where do you get seeds? I don't think the retail shops (which I've never visited - and I haven't used marijuana since my Undergrad days) will sell seeds -- they'd probably worry about people growing their own.

Or am I wrong?

I have plenty of space to grow, and I can grow in the house, if necessary - but I'm still not entirely sure what I'd do with the harvest.

Just curious on using cannabis in tea. is there a specific recipe, prep work or just grind it up and mix with favorite tea blend? thx

I grind a small to medium bud, I put it in my teapot with two teaspoons of green tea. Boilig water (2 cups), infuse for 15 mins. And thats it. Add honey to taste if you like.

Cannabis has to be decarboxylated to activate the THC. This can be done simply and easily in an oven, though there are also dedicated gadgets. THC is fat soluble, so it needs something like cream, butter, coconut oil, etc to bind to. I make a nice milky chai or sleepytime herbal tea with ABV from my dry herb vape. I honestly don't think that will do much of anything. The THC needs to bind to something fatty/digestible first. Your body will not be able to assimilate it just putting it in boiling water.

Decarbing it first will make it even more potent (as steph said above). There are hundreds (if not thousands) of places on the 'net to learn about this stuff (I did not check out steph's link yet)....
