I hate you. I never heard of it before and now I keep looking at all these videos, I'll be addicted soon, darn you

Hey, same thing happened to me. I love learning something new everyday. Thought I'd pass it along.

it's actually a nice break, I've spent the last couple days trying to read the GIVE act Bill it is GIVING me a massive headache

I made the mistake of looking up all present House resolutions before the 111th congress. I quickly closed the page and said, I'll save it for another day.

I remember a segment of "Criminal Minds" when Dr. Spencer Reid was talking about Fibonacci numbers. I forget what the plot was. So I am glad to know what they are.

It is fun to learn something new every day.

Then you've never read or seen The Da Vinci Code. (Movie starring Tom Hanks)

Took the words out of my mouth. I had never heard of it before this book
myself. It seems I depend on authors of mainstream fiction for such trivia
and knowledge. Thankfully most of them do some good research to fill
their books:)

THANK you I knew I heard it and pictured it in my mind, but couldn't place the Movie. I kept thinking it HAD to be in a couple episode of "Numbers" BUTthe DaVinci Code I saw a few times. It was one of the DVD Justin took to the Hospital and He kept falling asleep so it took a few times to see whole thing.

Those who only saw the movie got cheated..the book was so much better.
I tried to watch the movie myself and never did finish it!

I USED to LOVE to read, it was my favorite thing in the whole world just about, I've been very near sited all my life , couldn't see the big"E" on the chart in 4th graade, then when I hit 40 I needed bifocals, I have Bifocal contacts BUt still need reading glasses to read, then I get head aches unless the writing is pretty big, so except for Harry Potter, I pretty much quit reading (as I sit here right now I have my glasses on WITH reading glasses on top of them, can't look down or the fall)

Have you read the next book? I'm anxious to see that movie

I can really relate to that- was diagnosed near sited that same year when
I couldn't read the board at school. I was amazed with my first glasses..
amazed that you can actually see the individual leaves on the trees and
the blades of grass. Grew up in a family of readers. Started in on Victoria
Holt at age 10,Gone with the Wind,Forever Amber and the like at 11:rolleyes:
My tastes grew broader -thankfully,but I will still read just about anything
including all the Harry Potter's.Its the only thing good about being unhealthy,
I guess.Sorry you can't enjoy them as much, but how about large print books?
I did read Angels and Demons by Dan Brown which I liked also, but I did
not read his other one. I really like Preston and Child's books, they write
alot of adventure/science/suspense,and their first popular one was Relic
which was made into a movie, but I think their best was The Cabinet of Curiosities.
Sorry Ross- but when books are mentioned,I lose all control

OMG I STILL talk about walking out of the doctor that day and seeing leaves on Trees. I used to draw Lollypop trees, because that was all I thought trees looked like to everybody

I read ALL of the Nancy Drew books when I was little (my MOMs for the most part) and anything I could get my hands on, before I gave up my new fav books were all the Anne Rice ones. I started reading the left behind series, but around book 6 was when I realized I was reading the same page over and over because it was hard.

All those gothic and historical romance I was reading at 10; I never had
permission to read them. Some of them were pretty steamy for a pre-teen.
I didnt understand half of it anyway..I was pretty naive.
Namcy Drew was good, and I loved the CS Lewis Narnia books..hence my avatar "the Last Battle" which is the last Narnia book.

I've heard of it, never seen it. You gotta remember hon, I'm technically (Movie, Home Theater, TV) challenged. I really live in the stone age compared to most people. If it weren't for Hank and others, I wouldn't even be on a computer. ;)

The internet has become my personal learning library. I can't imagine living without a computer now.
