As none of the previous shirt owners have stepped forward, please PM me with your address, and I'll send a Tawdry shirt. I have two left from the original Tawdry Shirts, which are each pure silk, and over a quarter of a century old (US size Large),
Please be aware that part of the tradition is to post with a photo in the shirt, and then to offer the shirt to the next person. If you seem to have it for a couple of weeks after posting, please post to see if someone is looking for it. Then you mail it to them, including a copy of the photo if you have one. Over time, quite a folder of photos should be circulating with these shirts.
However, it would really be nice to see offers to mail from those who are currently holding active Tawdry shirts. After all, they're sort of tribal.
The point of these tasteless shirts is their history, tradition, and their oddly physical and emotional link to the many who have worn them after undergoing the same life-changing surgery that you have undertaken. The fact that they have traveled so far in friendship and touched so many enhances their mystique.
PLEASE REALIZE: IF YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO POST ABOUT AND FORWARD A TRAVELING TAWDRY SHIRT AFTER YOU POSE IN IT, PLEASE DO NOT REQUEST ONE. THEY ARE NOT INTENDED TO GO OUT OF CIRCULATION.
