Hi Gang,

Well, we are sitting here in the hotel close to the hospital. Just had a nice dinner with my wife and both daughters, trying to spend some last minute quality time and just chill.

You know, earlier this afternoon, all of a sudden I had a moment when there was absolutely nothing to do! My checklists were all complete, work was all taken care of, and there was just nothing to do. I felt the anxiety then for a few minutes, it was like I was JUST waiting, nothing else. Believe me, I found something to do!

It is 6:45 and in just a few minutes I am going to get comfortable, do the final pre-op preps - brushing the teeth with the special stuff they gave me at my pre-teach, take a shower with the anti-bacterial soap, and then pop a Xanax! Yes, I'm taking the easy way out tonight. Up to this point I have only taken a Xanax one night, the night of the day that they re-scheduled my surgery. Tonight I want to make sure my head isn't wound up with a thousand thoughts and that I am able to hopefully get a good night's sleep. Have to be at the hospital at 0530 for a 0730 surgery. I'm glad it is early.

I'll talk to you all again on the other side in a few days. My wife will be posting something tomorrow once she knows what is what.

Take care you all and thanks again for all the moral support, the great information, and just being willing to share, not only your knowledge, but your experiences and your own emotional ride.

Randy

Sounds like a good plan! What is this special toothpaste?
