ThrowDown Friday The 13th:eek::eek: ..... Greetings!! ... As we start on another week and one week closer to summer and bikini;) / beachwear season I want to encourage everyone to stick with the stuff ... we have a few new members and we are still looking for a few that we lost ... I am truly amazed that the ThrowDown has continued into it's second year ... some have continued to shed weight and others have maintained (which is a great victory) .... I am down 2 pounds this week which is a miracle ... I had a couple of days of stress eating and a couple of stress fasting (no desire for food) ....

I hope we all have had a week of weight loss but whatever it is we just need to stick with it ... it is not easy ... At 195 I am one pound lower than my lowest in ThrowDown history:D ... I have been the prime example of yo yo weight loss which at times was very discouraging ... the only reason I stuck to the stuff and kept coming back is the support, laughter and love that each of you provide .... Thanks:)

Starting weight.......233
Last Week .............197
This week...............195
Total Loss ..............38

Wow Cooker you are speeding past all of us!! Congratulations:)
I dont need to ask,I think I know already...STRESS is the secret ,right?
Its seems this way with me too.

I am maintaining still, and I would have lost if someone didnt bring ice cream in the house..again!! Next time it happens,I am going to give it to the neighbors, who have a little boy. I'm sure he would be very happy to receive a gallon of ice cream:D
I also am having thyroid issues again. My PCP is not monitoring me as she
should and she goes by the old lab value guidelines of TSH,which have been
found incorrect years ago. I gotta change my doc.

Think I may try to bike ride if the weather holds,I'm getting really out of shape
sitting around so much.
Hope everyone had a good week--Dina

Dina ... it does sound like you need to change your PCP ... I had to drop a life long doctor once because he was still practicing with roots and herbs;) ... loved him to death but had to leave him for someone who was up and current ... About the ice cream ... be careful ... I don't think that would be a good idea ... if your DH loves ice cream the way I do that might cause a mini revolution:D:D

Congratulations Cooker on your slide to slimness and congratulations to Mrs. Cooker for 26 years of patience......and love I'm sure. :D

Congratulations, Cap't Cooker -- on the weight loss and the anniversary. You must have an incredibly patient DW, as I do.

Superbob is pleased to report:

Weight loss goal for 2009: 20 pounds.

Loss for '09 as of this morning: 6 pounds.

Superbob hasn't weighed for a while because of crisis with the scales. During that time, he is sure that slovenly eating habits put back on much that he had lost. But now he is back on track, thanks largely to Superdawg, who is pressing on with longer walks now that the weather has turned (at least for now) warmer.

Though, as Ton suggested, Superdawg might put her paws on SB's scales at weigh-in time, since she is always at his feet. That could add a few pounds. :p

A noble and obtainable goal .... I can just see her behind you with her paw on the scales and grin on her face:D

Congratulations to you Cooker, and prayers for your DW, on this happy and momentous occasion.

One note of confession, I am on track today as far as points. This is the first time in too long of a succession of days. I feel good about that, but I'm not weighing....yet.

Thanks for the well wish ..... now hop on those scales:p ... I assume Cindy is still being pefect:)
Congratulations to you and your DW. Tell her she's in my prayers:D

Thanks Earline ... hope all is well with you and Jules:)

Well, I don't have to weigh in this Monday, since I'm at goal, and I might skip it. My hormones must be raging because today I felt like Mexican food, and that doesn't happen often. I don't mean the tiny piece of grilled chicken, lettuce, and salsa that WW recommends either! Plus, I'm just behind Cooker as my husband and I will be celebrating our 21st tomorrow. Fighting the early Valentine's crowd that thinks they'll go a day early to beat the real Valentine's crowd is never fun, especially when our day is on a Friday, so we might just pick a movie and I'll have popcorn and a diet Coke, which isn't great, but better than a rib eye and loaded baked potato!

Great post, Cooker, I will report my weight tomorrow, as I weigh on Fridays. Meanwhile, thanks for all your encouragement...I am very happy for your weight loss success.:) AND

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY and many happy returns to you and to your DW
:)

WoW Cooker!...that is an amazing number you pulled today.

Many congratulations on both your marvellous achievements this week...A Chimp in "budgie smugglers!" (thats Aussie for speedos!...LOL...) now that would be a sight to see :D

Well done to our other throw-downers who are staying with the program too...my scales are resting ;);) this week!

SB...hope Sadie listens and keeps her paws off your newly fixed scales...

I've been walking our dogs everynight for 45minutes....one of them even got a sore paw form all the exercise.
