Katie and CHD proclamation

Although we heart parents have yet to get a national CHD proclamation signed, many states and cities across the nation have signed proclamations officially designating this week as Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Week. Governor Perry has signed one for Texas, and I'm happy to say that the city of Arlington has as well. Katie and I were present for the presentation of Arlington's proclamation at last week's city council meeting. Katie did manage to stay put in her seat during the first part of the meeting until the presentation, and was surprisingly quite well-behaved, but was a little disappointed that she didn't get to sit in the mayor's chair. Thank you guys so much!!!! And, Mary, I told her the exact same thing..........that that very chair could be hers someday...............but for now, she's been watching too much Tru TV and Forensic Files.............so now she wants to be a homicide detective..............that's this week anyway! Oh, and Ross, I have updated Christmas card pictures, but.............uhhhhh, I have yet to get those out yet.................I'm thinking Easter now....................sigh! Much love. J.
