first run (slow jog really) at 30 days !!

so in addition to 6+ miles of running errands, also hit the track for a first
attempt at jogging. pretty poor results, but given i just had my chest
cracked open 30 days ago, not too shabby. got my new wireless heart
rate monitor in the mail today, so nice to be able to monitor in real time.

so here's the results:

easy warm-up mile walking set a base of 100-105 bpm

did three runs of 600 meters each in 1:45.

at 100m heart rate @ 120-125
at 200m heart rate @ 130-135
at 300m heart rate @ 140-145

stopped there as i didn't really want to stress too much. stopped on the
basis of heart rate, not on exhaustion or shortness of breath or pain. would
have continued (maybe) if heart rate could be maintained under 135.

cool down after each 300m run = 125 @ 100m, 115 @ 200m, 108 @ 300m,
and back to 105 after 400m, then do another 400m circuit.
