No, Superbob didn't do himself in running this 50-mile Mountain Masochist Trail Run hereabouts, but he is going to write an article about a guy who did complete this year's version of it. Thought maybe Throw-Downers would enjoy seeing a YouTube account, which gives a sense of God's wonderful handiwork in creating the Blue Ridge and the camaraderie of active folks meeting a challenge with good cheer.

Great video, SB! What time of the year is the race run . . . September?

It was a weak week, but it's my first full week on the bike since my surgery. So I can't complain about 104 miles.

I was a bit preoccupied yesterday (we went to OK to see our babies for the first time on ultrasound), so forgive me for not weighing in. I'm happy to say that I'm holding steady at 137. It's not the weight I want to be, but given I've done nothing that could qualify as exercise, nor have I truly watched what I was eating, I'll take it! With everything that's been going on in our lives lately, maintaining is quite an accomplishment.

I go in for surgery on Monday. Perhaps that will be a good weight loss strategy? ;)

Niki ... maintaining is a huge victory....way to go!!!!:D:):D

'm the same. I just can not seem to get it together. Eating too much and not walking enough.

I see my cardio in January and he will not be a happy camper if I have not only a weight gain but no walking.

Obviously at least three of us need a week-end reunion, motivation session to rekindle our weight loss determination . . . . just like we had in Gatlinburg . . . NOT!:p:p:p I still have fond memories of the cakes Sherry baked and brought . . . . the good old days!:D

"Let Them Eat Cake"...............:p:p:p

Wise and Mary
I do have to agree on the Fig cake but that pear ran a very close second. I too have very fond memories not only the cake though.:D

I agree. There were many good times to remember, especially the walk to the pancake house! ;)

In defense of Wise and the "trek", I didn't think it was very long at all! Of course, I was yakking away, and time always flies when my mouth is in motion!:p:p

Okay you guys enough about the cakes!!!
Cooker, is the Mrs. willing to share these treats that are so fondly spoken of?

And, would anyone like to enlighten the rest of us of these "fond memories"? or should another sex thread be started? It may help in becoming a bigger loser.

No, it was not "that" long .... I did have to replace my tennis shoes but in all fairness they were two weeks old:rolleyes::p

Well, Hubby wanted to go out last night for coffee and dessert (we have a new deli/bakery in town with gigantic desserts). I balked and told him there was ice cream, raspberries and raspberry liquor in the kitchen if he wanted something so not only did I not have to "eat cake", he got his own dessert!!! :p:p We'd had an early, smallish dinner so I had a midnight snack of Special K and soy milk. Now if I could just get my sorry a** moving to Curves, or the track or anything I might actually start feeling better!!

Aren't you non-movers feeling sluggish? I sure am. And yet I have all these projects going on at home and just don't want to pulll away.

Monday!!!!!!

Keep moving, losers!

Maybe that's why I'm so tired all of the time .... I have not been walking or doing anything exercise wise

Now where are the rest of our throwdowners?

Yes, Yes...I hear you calling me ref.....sorry I keep forgetting we have our very own special section now ...

I havent lost or gained anything worth getting my scales out to check on...and our 2 doggies have been naughty puppies and have been getting dinner twice each night this week due to a feeding roster mishap!...so they are both reporting gains! HaHaHa!!!! now thats justice!:D...they are back on the wagon again though and those sad brown puppy eyes aren't fooling anyone now!...

We are all back on the plan now and will report our losses as soon as they happen!
