Zippers update!

Hi guys!
It's chelsey here again with an update on my mom (zipper)
as you all know she is in Edmonton doing some testing.. she has a few more tests to do, they say another day or two and she will be home.. they are going to scheduale a surgery date at the end of this month..

oh wait she just texted me.. i think she says the surgery is set for end of october.. or they will give her a date at the end of october... not sure.. her texts are hard to understand lol
and only doing one valve and leaving the mechanical one alone as far as i understand.. but it's all good everything is going fine and she will be back in a few days..

Kinda figured they'd just run tests - too bad surgery can't be sooner, I know Zipper is ready for it.

oh how things can change so fast... guess they want to keep my mom untill monday now.. where they had cut her leg to do a test isnt healed yet and they dont want it to start bleeding while she is on her way home so they are keeping her, which is good but we miss her

Oh Freddie mom is charging her cell phone and i gave her the number to your place, she is going to call you at some point

Chelsey, it sounds like she hasn't healed from the angiogram...they go into a vein from the top of the leg/groin area.
I had the same test and I also had to stay in overnight because I got a bit faint.
She will be fine!

Oooh yeah thats the test.. i couldnt remember what it was called lol thanks bina.
so you had to stay overnight, jus one night? hmm wonder why they want to keep for so long.. because she had this test done yesterday so another two days?

Maybe it's just because it's the weekend and a doc will only be able to check her and sign her out on Monday.

Didn't want to risk of bleeding after angiogram - INR was to HIGH when they did it and really shouldn't have been done on Friday. That's the reason why Zipper is staying till Monday......to be on the safe side and to be tappered off the shots and to get back on the warfarin.
