A Pleasant Surprise

We had a very pleasant surprise in the form of two delightful people visiting our little town.

Cooker and his lovely wife, Sherry, met us at our favorite Mexican restaurant here in town. Then we met at our other favorite, Starbucks, where we sat and jawed for a couple hours. They are very warm and funny people. It was a total pleasure to visit with them.

Nothing at the Mexican restaurant. REALLY!

At Starbucks I had a Caramel Frappucino. Sherry had a Mint Mocha Frappucino. Cindy and Cooker had plain old coffee. We were relatively behaved, huh?

We did indulge in lots of laughter though. How could you not?

I guess the closest thing to banana pudding was the Frappucinos Sherry and I had at Starbucks. Cooker had diet coke, as far as anything sweet; for a vacationing simian, that's showing some restraint.

It was in the upper 80's when we met to eat. By the time we finished with coffee it was probably in the mid 70's. We've a short respite from the bad heat and humidity.
