What food do you like that you wouldn't eat when you were younger?. Mines liver & onions (just had it for tea) and i love sprouts now:eek:. I'm boared lol.
I also say i don't like prawns but i have nether tasted them:rolleyes:.

*I suspect you are a bit anxious about tomorrow Paula. I did post on another thread, but just to say again.....best wishes for tomorrow....will be thinking of you all, let us know how things go for Curt..... prayers coming.

Here's a distraction for you: peas and beans. Frozen sweet peas (canned are still yucky), chick peas, beans of almost any type. I haven't tried Lima beans lately, or Navy beans, but I should.
I've always loved liver & onions, and fried chicken livers. Yummy.

Sushi and raw oysters?..would not touch them and now I could live on them (wonder if there is a pattern forming;))?..There are very few foods that I down right will not eat?..okra, rutabagas and cauliflower?.will not touch them and you can?t make me:p

A lot of things
Liver, eggplant, tomatoe juice/v8, a variety of fish, I can't name em all.

I like sugar and sugar likes me.
Now that I'm eating healthily again, I don't have as much of a craving for it. I still like my ice cream, but low fat works fine for me.

I love asparagus and wouldn't eat it as a kid. I brown it in a cast iron skillet.

I hated asparagus growing up because my mom used the canned kind. I love fresh asparagus but didn't know the difference until I was "really growed up".

There are a lot of things I love now that I never had as a child - sushi, lobster, pomegranites (sp?), avocados, to name a few.

Most of the rest of the things I hated as a child, I still hate now - fried eggs, mashed potatoes, lima bean and peas - still yucky.

My favorite is any type of seafood but particularly sushi and sashimi. That said, I just love food in general. I'll try anything at least once. I love to cook and eat....next to my bike, it's my favourite past time.

Got it in 1 Jacqui, thanks for the best wishes, will need them.
Prunes- yuk
Wild boar:eek:
Another thing i have never tried maccoroni cheese just looks yucki.

Broccoli....I hated it as a kid now I love it.
Liver & Kidneys .....YUK YUK YUK...still YUK YUK YUK...and NO there is nothing you can do to hide that awful flavour and texture and smell.

I'm 110% behind aussiegal on this one.
Count me out when it comes to liver and onions too. Mom cooked it with bacon and some onions and I would have one tiny tiny piece of liver with one slice of bacon even THAT didn't help the awful texture and it only helped the flavor about 10%, so I would have another piece of bacon as a chaser :D

Got to be a sauce with it. Northern English folk love their gravy and I'm no exception.

The traditional roast for me. Roast fore rib of beef, Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, savoy cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, lots of onion gravy made from meat juices. Followed by apple crumble and custard.
