I had gone in to volunteer in ICU Wednesday although I felt horrible that day. I hurt so bad and it got worse through out the morning so the nurses insisted that I go down and have the CAT scan done immediately. It does help to be connected to the hospital even though all I am is a volunteer. They got me right in and run several tests. They thought that maybe I was trying to pass a kidney stone. The CAT scan showed I had large bone spurs on my spine. The kidney look alright but there is small particles in my urine. Since it's my only kidney I have left I always worry when I have pain in that area. My PC doctor called me in a prescription for vicodin for the pain. Yesterday I still hadn't got any release so I called my chiropractor and he said to come right in. He turned me every which way but loose. His sister does deep tissue massage and she worked on me for over an hour. I feel 100% better today. I've even been out mowing all morning. I can still feel it but nothing like it was. I'm supposed to go back for another treatment on Tuesday.

Thank you all for your concern and prayers.

I know you love to mow, Glenda, almost as much as brushhogging. Glad to see you out there doing what you love to do. I hope the symptoms melt away today.

Very best wishes,

Glenda,
I don't like to mow, but I LOVE to bush hog!

I'm glad you're feeling better, and I'm glad you reported in with the CT results.
We were out of town today, and I wondered driving in when you would post.

Thanks for the good news; it's always a day brightner.:)

ps Are you coming to St. Louis next March for the VR reunion? I hope so . . . it's time we get to meet!:)

Glenda, what's with this mowing thing? Folk posting saying "I know you like to mow but ........... blah blah blah" Do you live in the midst of a field, do you have a lawn fetish. Cultural differences here methinks; please explain. :)

Glenda - I'm glad you're getting all fixed up and could mow today! Don't overdo too much.

You have my prayers!

Glenda, I'm so glad to read it wasn't the diagnosis you feared. Now, don't overdo things mowing!
I keep telling my mother to just stake out some goats and they'll chomp that hay down in her yard ;) !

Bonzo, until Glenda replies, grass grows like crazy where she lives; and regular mowing is a necessity--but it has also become a hobby, an adventure and frequently a competitive sport throughout the entire muggy midwest...

And after reading the news this morning about tornados in your area, Glenda, I sure hope you're okay!

Only You

Only You

Dear Glenda, Bob H said it for me, (and had me LOL). Glad you are feeling better! Do take care of yourself. All the best, Brian

Glenda,
Please check in soon. I know the tornados were very close to where you live.

It hit about 6 miles east of us. We had some friends that were in a van that was killed. A husband, wife, son and grandmother. (The Rountrees) It is such a tragedy, They were on their way to a wedding. Rick was supposed to sing at the wedding. I went by this morning to see Rick's mother and she is devasted. Who wouldn't be. They left a 19 year old daughter. She also sings and is in my son-in-laws music class at college. The funeral for all four is this Friday. I'm sure the church will be filled. This poor family needs all our prayers.

Bonzo Dog. Yes, I live in on a farm in the middle of a big hay field and I do love to mow, always have. For Christmas my husband bought me a big zero turn mower, and I just this month bought him a big John Deere tractor, of course I'll probably use it as much as he will. I guess you could call it a grass and hay fetish. I never did say that I was normal. :D:D

I went for a treatment today on my back and I'm so much better. I do wear a back brace when I work outside. It sure seems to help.

Thanks again everyone for your good wishes. You all are the best! !
