Ellie is in New Mexico!!

Some of you may remember the play structure that took me, and a gifted (which I am not) handyman a week to build. I know I posted a few pictures.

Ellie's mom & dad agreed to let us come to Puerto Rico and bring Ellie back for a week with grampa & grandma. She is now 2 years and 4 months old, and loves her play structure. This is a picture I took while watching her play. I consider it a generous reward for our efforts.

We will be getting up around 3:30 am tomorrow morning to start the trip back to Puerto Rico. First we will drive for an hour and a half to get to the airport. Then we will fly to Houston, wait for two hours and then start the longest part of the journey-al the way to Puerto Rico. I don't expect to be able to take any pictures tomorrow. I wanted to post one more picture from earlier today.

This is Ellie after doing the rope climb (with a little help). The shirt she is wearing was a favorite of her mothers that we saved all these years. Ellie thought it was very neat to wear her mother's old shirt. We are sure going to miss this little girl.

After 12 hours of travel, Ellie & I made it to Puerto Rico. I kept telling Ellie that she and Grampa were going to "team up", take two planes, go to see Mommy & Daddy. She really didn't fuss at all until the last 20 minutes! She was a star on the planes, and I was very proud of her!

I'm sure that Ellie had a magical time with Grandma and Grandpa - and I'm sure it was even more magical for G & G. She is an absolute dolly, a real heart-melter!
