Just got through looking at this thread. Thankyou so very much for your thoughts, advice, and most importantly...your prayers. i believe that all will go well, but as many of us know, there is always the unknown and the unexpectant that could occur. Its good for our spirit, I suppose, to go through things like this because it helps get a proper perspective on life. What the really important things are. I wont get into all this as this isnt the proper forum, but I do want all to know that I have leaned heavily on this site and have been blessed by you. Thanks all..will have my wife post.

I know this has absolutely nothing to do with your upcoming surgery ... but, your words caught my attention. And, coupled with your location, I thought I might illustrate something...that the unknown and unexpectant is not always something negative.

This past October, I was in Oklahoma City and met up with a group of people. One of them was from another board of which I am a member. Late in the evening, after we had all finished eating and were just talking, a second-thought comment sparked a conversation that revealed that the person with whom I met ... was tied to my family from many years ago. Turns out, he had been taught by my grandfather in Ames OK:
