Discovered I was born with bicusbid aortic valve at age 57 and that it had started leaking. During this time I was training for Ironman Lake Placid. After the ironman, further testing showed the aorta had enlarged to 5.3 centimeters and the decision was made to replace the valve and upper aorta.
