Thanks for sharing this! My bicuspid aortic valve is severely stenotic (and I'm experiencing shortness of breath with even mild exertion now). I saw the surgeon last week after an angiogram and he advised that surgery would probably in July-August of this year (he rated me as NYHA 1-2). I'm in...
Amazing!! I'm in the pre-surgery camp and my activity is severely restricted at the moment. Many mountains all around me but no climbing until after surgery. This gives me so much hope and I can't wait to climb again. I'm going to set a similar goal. Thank you for the inspiration!! 🌄

Thanks for sharing @newarrior. I'm on tap for an angiogram and the cardiologist says surgery will probably happen within days of that. Now that I know it's happening, I want to get it done and move forward with the next chapter. Thinking good thoughts for you and hope all goes well.
Thanks, @NorthVanJosh. I was just referred for an angiogram at St. Pauls and the cardiologist seemed to think it would take 4-6 weeks to get that done.
I can relate SwansCity1912! We moved to BC in 2021, so I attributed the SOB to running/hiking in the mountains versus being mostly on flats. I'm now scheduled for an angiogram, so things are moving forward.
Thanks, Lynn. I was doing a few 5-7km runs a week up until October of last year. Same kind of thing; something just felt off and WAY too out of breath for the effort. I switched to walking (at a fast pace) to keep up my cardio fitness, which feels better.
