Never any problems; 40+-year vegetarian and runner. Heart caths showed thoroughly clean coronary arteries. Brother and I both had 2-leaflet aortic valves which didn't bother us until our early 70's, much the same as others with 3-leaflet valve calcification. As long ago as I can remember, I had a murmur from the valve but not until nearly 73 YO, became severely short of breath. That's when the aneurysm was discovered. I am a family medicine physician and, like many other physicians, I never paid too much attention to caring for my health. As I said, I am vegetarian, was a runner for many years and had overall good family history, including longevity.
