Just a little note to you all

My friend from NY checked out the forum and was very moved by the support she saw here on this thread and others. I have come to take this sort of support from the forum for granted, and that's just wrong.

I have gotten so many great emails from so many here and such great advice and support, especially from Lyn, Kim, Mary, Ross, Jeanne, Eva and others too numerous to name... I'm really grateful.

I tend to communicate in a series of inanities, pasted together with horrible potty humor. My incessant joking is just a function of how obnoxious I am as a person. It does not diminish one iota the gratitude and sense of fellowship i feel for the members here. I hope you all realize that the support we noobs get here is really vital and makes a tremendous difference. I just wanted to make that clear.

My friend said, after reading some posts:

"Wow"

Yeah," I said, " it's like they're family or something, but nobody's asked to borrow any money!"

(sorry)

But it's more than that. It's humans helping fellow humans for no other reason than it's a good thing to do. No bartering, no consulting fees, no insurance forms to fill out... just help. Sometimes it's contentious, sometimes uplifting, but it's always helpful.

So I am very psyched to get to it and I'm not nervous at all. Thanks to you all for that!

I am bummed that Valentines day will not be spent at our usual restaurant, but the Heidster has offered to grab some take out if the place will agree to it (not their usual policy). I in turn am pre-ordering a bouquet of flowers with a card that reads-

"For you, dear Heidi,
I have purchased these flowers
And my new valve allows me
to make love for hours!"

What - too pushy?

In other news, Book and Teresa are getting sliced around the same time as I am so I'll take this opportunity to say good luck and eat my dust!

See y'all later!

David

David,

An other upbeat note! keep this good attitude. I agree with you that we all are awsome, and you are one of this awsome group! The world is still in good shape :)

Good luck again on the 11th and I am sure the roses and poem will be a nice surprise for Heidi.

I had a lumpuctomy on Feb 14, 2006 and my hubby greeted me when I opened my eyes with beautiful long stem roses. I was not expecting it at the hospital...it was nice surprise.
